This was the best gift that my almost 3 y.o. got for Christmas. He loves the chalk board and uses it to practice drawing then cleaning it up with a wet wipe. The painting is not as messy as I thought and the paint cleans up nicely with water. Nice and sturdy. We have a small kids chair that he sits at when he creates!! Great buy.

I bought this for my boys (2 1/2 and 15 months) for Christmas. My 2 1/2 year old loves it, the chalk side and the dry erase. My 15 mo old is still getting used to the concept, he does sometimes draw w/ the chalk. He can reach to the lower 1/3 of the board. My 2 1/2 year old is tall for his age and can reach to the top. The easel has two different height settings about 2 inches apart. We have it on the lowest. The easel is solid and very sturdy and the bins and cups and trays are made better than expected. This easel can't be folded up and is large and bulky, so you will need a designated place for this. That being said, it has loads of room for storage and will not fall apart on your child. My eldest (37 lbs) once climbed up on the tray, the tray stood firm (though was bending a bit) and the easel did not tip over. I'm sure that the tray would not stand up to repeated or sustained episodes. Thankfully it hasn't happened again.

The paper roll is decent quality and we have painted several times now. The paint cups are nice, the lids don't seem to be that tight, but I have left paint in them now for over a month, and it has not dried out. The white board is nice and wipes off easily, the chalk board seems to hold the chalk just fine (we are currently using sidewalk chalk in different colors) Make sure you cover the whole board in chalk then wipe before using the first time.

My personal cons: would have like 4 holes/4 paint cups instead of three- is missing the blue. Would have liked for the paper hold down to be on both sides - so both boys could use paper at the same time. this is minor as there is always tape!

overall this is a very good easel, thanks to the other reviewer I got mine at Costco for $75.00. Though this one I think is worth paying more, esp seeing the price on some much cheaper quality ones are.
