With this I don't have to worry about corners or children getting hurt around it. It's a great little coffee table with the two extra seats. I always had a problem with coffe tables because my daughter would crawl under it or would bend to pick up a toy nearby and would bump her head on the table. With this no such problem, no sharp corners and no crawling under.

I ordered this because my roommate had just purchased the same thing (from a department store, for twice as much).
So it seemed like a no-brainer to purchase the same product online, for half-cost.
I normally whole-heartedly support purchasing online, when it comes to savings of this magnitute (though I do support local stores, if it's only 10-20% or something).

But yeah... I got the ottoman in the mail (quick delivery...love that about amazon; just about always before even the earliest delivery date shown), packaging appeared fine - so I think the defect was done in manufacturing/boxing, and not caused by delivery...

But the lid to the ottoman has a SHARP crease in the leather. Not just a dull one that is to be expected maybe due to packaging or something, that would rub-out in a few days... It's a sharp crease that runs very awkwardly-diagonally-ish lengthwise across the lid. I've had it for over a week, and it's as sharp as the day I got it. It's kind of worrisome, because it's significant enough that I worry with time and pressure (sitting, placing heavier objects on it), the crease may lead to cracks in the leather.

Very unfourtnate. My roommate's was in perfect condition. Beautiful product.

One gripe about the design of the product in-general though.
The lid has [sort of floppy] leather strap-handles built onto the sides of it. They don't have a specified method of hiding them for a more sleek appearance, but can be shoved/pressed underneath the lid if desired. Not the end of the world, but would have been nice if they thought of this when designing the product.
