I originally had a cheaper and slimmer mattress from Wal-Mart. The 8" memory foam mattress they offer. It was fine. A bit firm. But i had no complaints. This one, with the extra layer of plush foam.. What a difference!!! It is much softer than the 8" one. The only down side is making the bed. The 8" one was a decent amount lighter. I could simply lift a corner no problem, throw the fitted sheet around the edge and let it down. But this thicker mattress, its mush heavier and doesn't "bend" up nearly as easy. So, making the bed has become a little more difficult. I don't think you could ever make it if it was pushed right next to the wall... You'd have to scoot it out. But other than being a chore to make. Its a great bed. I highly recommend it. You could easily pass it off for a much more expensive bed. The bamboo cover is awesome. Its very very soft. When my bed got here, i cut off the netting cover that's under the bamboo cover. Then washed the bamboo cover and put it back on. I didn't really notice any bad smells with this mattress like i did the other one, so i guess that draw back is hit or miss. Bottom line. Its a great bed. Get it.

This mattress is FREAKING awesome! I have slept on it for about 3 months now and I can't believe the incredible value I got. I sleep like a KING. My girlfriend who used to say she could sleep anywhere is now absolutely spoiled by how much she loves this bed. I can't praise it enough! Every night when I am tired I look forward to laying down in my cozy bed. The mattress is not way super duper soft. Rather than be far too soft, it is a perfect sweet spot. After laying down for about 30 seconds is when it really just forms to your body. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. I recommend this to anyone that wants a Tempur Pedic and doesn't have 4k. I compared this to the one at the furniture store and I'll swear that one is no better.

Mattress came in a box with absolutly no damage. Took about two days to fully re-expand. I was kind of apprehensive at first because the mattress seemed a little too firm for my liking but once I layed on it I understood what all the Hype is about. Love it! Just the right amount of firmness with a super cush feel. I've had the Mattress for three weeks now and I really have to force myself to get out of bed. No Joke. Wanted to go with the Sleep Innovations mattress at first because the are an American Company but the Lucid has an extra two inches of memory foam and is supposedly more plush. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone that is into memory foam.
